Missing

I have to apologize for being MIA for the last week. There has been so much going on around my house. I have recently taken a per diem/on call position as a home health care nurse after being unemployed (not by my wishes) for the last 1 1/2 yrs. Yeah, you heard me right, I'm a nurse and haven't been able to find work in this small Southern Utah town that we moved to a year and a half ago. This has never happened to me before, jobs have been easy to find. It has been frustrating and a blessing at the same time. The blessing part comes from getting to stay home with my kids for the first time ever.

Before this period of unemployment, I have always worked full time as a nurse in all areas of Women's Health. Labor and Delivery, Infertility, Mother/Baby. You name it, I've done it! I also loved what I did and have missed it. However, after an initial period of adjustment, I have come to absolutely love being with my kids! (I do have my occasional, I'm going crazy!, moments though.) Due to the need for a little extra money, I have continued to look for a job and finally got one. It is outside of my field, and I'm a little sad about that but, hey, it's a job. So out came all of my great, pajama like, scrubs again!

I have been so busy with my job orientation that I just haven't been able to blog, at all.:( Also, we've been dealing with the little issue of strep throat for Max and I, stomach flu for Will, and all around colds. It's left us a little ornery and feeling a little like this:

We are slowly mending, but still a bit rocky and it hasn't help that I've been trying to work around a family of sickos. Uuuugh! It's going to be fun remembering how to balance all of the balls at once, and I'll keep ya'll posted on how it goes. Stay with me on my fun little roller coaster as this Black does her best to keep up!
