I have to admit, I'm really not very big on doing seasonal/holiday decorations. I can't really say why, other than it adds additional clutter that I have to clean around.
I do try to do a little bit now that I have kids but it's pretty minimal. Christmas is probably the biggest holiday that I decorate for.
I did drag out some of my fall decor stuff yesterday. You'll notice that I just do general fall decorations, and nothing specific to Halloween. I'm one of those people that just.can't.get.into Halloween. I do put my kids in costumes, and we do the whole trick-or-treat thing but that's about it. You can BOO me now. I can take it...really.;)
I started with my dining table. Everything is on a tray again because I need to be able to get it out of the way for dinner and all that stuff. I really do like to keep with pretty natural decor in traditional fall colors. Even though over-the-top decorating is not my thing, I still enjoy the season and it's beauty, as is.
Next, I did a little decor on my entry table. Why not put what I have done where people can see it, and I get credit? Haha!
See that white pumpkin on the far right? It's a dollar store pumpkin that I spray painted heirloom white and added a stick stem and some spanish moss to. It only cost me $1 to buy it, and I had everything else around the house.
One more view. I admit, I love the little iron tree with pumpkins hanging from it that I bought (I think) about 3 years ago.
The last area I added fall stuff to is the centerpiece I put on my coffee table in the living room.
I did took some more dollar tree pumpkins and mod podged some book pages onto them (another $2 investment), and added more sticks and spanish moss. I've been in love with these since I saw them on Pinterest.
Here's the rest of the arrangement.
Just a bit of wheat and some gourds added into a big glass thingamajig from the thrift store. Perfect enough for me!
Well, that's about it. I may or may not do a banner and wreath for the front door. It just depends on what other things land on my to do list.
What I love most is that these decorations should last me through to Thanksgiving and the delivery of the 4th baby boy. Thank goodness!

I'm disappointed that there aren't any cornucopias.

Originating in classical antiquity, it continues as a symbol in Western art, and in North America is particularly associated with Autumn and the Thanksgiving holiday.
I'm doing cornucopias at my house, lightly sprayed in heirloom brown, and overflowing with tradtional fall items, some decoupaged.
